Information is very light on our new protagonists, though we do know RDR2 takes place just on the cusp of the oil industry beginning to boom. Oil fields are glimpsed in the first trailer too, and the likes of this image point to some sort of mission where you burn one of them to the ground.

Though this individual looks far darker and more serious than the wholesome, atoning-for-his-sins version of John Marston we know and love, if Rockstar want to reverse expectations and show the apex of his criminal past, it could indeed be him.
