7. The Map Has Links To Mafia III
Long before Red Dead Redemption was even announced, the game's alleged map leaked online for fans to pick apart.
And while there was plenty of information there for fans to sink their teeth into, it was one particularly interesting titbit from the sequel's leaked map that garnered a lot of attention.
Eagle-eyed fans discovered that towards the bottom of the sandbox was a section called New Bordeaux. What's interesting about this is that New Bordeaux is also the name of Mafia III's fictional New Orleans-like setting.
Whether this means that Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to cross over with the Mafia franchise or whether it's just a nod from one studio to another isn't clear, but it hasn't stopped fans from speculating about the potential possibilities surrounding this intriguing section of RDR 2's setting.
