Rockstar has always been dedicated to pushing the limits of visual fidelity with every new release, taking advantage of cutting-edge technology to create some of the most breathtaking sandbox games the industry has ever seen.
So when it was announced that both Sony and Microsoft were releasing updated versions of their signature consoles that boasted increased power and 4K compatibility, it was a no-brainer that Rockstar would take advantage of the new technology.
Teased at Microsoft's E3 earlier in 2017, it's been confirmed that the developers are putting everything into making these versions of the game as gorgeous as they can be, and its looking like the studio will be jumping in bed with both the beefed-up Xbox One X and PS4 Pro when Red Dead Redemption 2 drops next year.
So if you've been waiting for a game to justify a price of a 4K TV, Rockstar's latest might be it.
