After what felt like a good few months since the last gameplay update, Rockstar Games have finally unveiled a new look at Red Dead Redemption 2. The game releases in a little under four weeks, and to say it looks impressive would be putting things lightly.

Detail is the name of the game this time around, and you don't have to spend much time at all with the western prequel to get a feel for that. This latest gameplay video only hammered that point further, providing players with a look at the game's ecosystem, gameplay and environment. The story is still being kept under-wraps (for the most part), but players should be able to paint a picture - positive or otherwise - of Red Dead 2, even as certain elements slip beneath the radar.

Because, as is often the case with Rockstar, quality and quantity aren't mutually exclusive. Red Dead is packing both in equal abundance, and considering it's been eight, long, Marston-less years since the last one, the studio have had plenty of time to innovate on their classic, third-person, open-world formula.

Here's everything you need to know.
