8. Cinematic Cam

The cinematic cam, absent from the last Red Dead Redemption but present in pretty much all other Rockstar titles, is now back for Red Dead Redemption 2. And for those who found it somewhat unnecessary and difficult to use in GTA, it looks as though Red Dead's slower pace has suited it well.

Westerns are synonymous with gorgeous vistas and award-winning cinematography, and Red Dead 2 - with its sprawling landscapes, snowy peaks and backwater towns - genuinely looks authentic. It makes sense, then, to outfit players with a camera of their own, and enable them to soak up the world in a manner Roger Deakins himself would be proud of.

The shots shown off in the new video looked immaculate, and with a brief snippet of Mexico all we've seen of the game's desert landscape, it's clear that there are plenty of surprises still to come.
