Where the repeaters fail in damage and range, the rifles surmount them in both. Perfect for players who want the range and power of a Sniper rifle, but who find difficulty in Rockstar's previously-dissected issues with aiming through a scope, the Springfield Rifle is ideal.

Not quite breaking into the top ten due to suffering from two of the slowest firing rates and reload times in the entire game, the Springfield Rifle is still an excellent weapon to use in big-game hunting. Although, perhaps less than convenient in gunfights against more than a mere few enemies where rapid fire can save your life.
