Red Dead Redemption 2: Ranking Every Weapon From Worst To Best
23. Bow
As mentioned in the Throwing Knives entry, the Bow is one of RDR 2's more satisfying weapons to use, and easily the most effective weapon in stealth situations.
Expanding on Grand Theft Auto V's sneak mode and stealth knockouts, RDR 2 at times feels almost like a stetson-capped Splinter Cell. Enemies have lines of sight, can be taken down up-close or from afar, and bodies can be hidden as not to raise suspicion from patrolling guards.
This stealth element of RDR 2 is where the Bow truly comes into it's own. Throwing knives and Tomahawks lack the same accuracy and range that the bow has in spades, and dispatching an enemy with a well placed arrow is far safer than creeping up on them for a melee kill.
A useful stealth weapon that can also be utilised for more direct combat, the Bow is easily one of the game's most skilful weapons.
