The loveable, ultimately goodhearted Arthur Morgan pays the price for his past, no matter what you do in the game.

Though RDR2's campaign rolls together everything you did on one massive moral scale to determine a good or bad ending, both lead to Arthur dying as John escapes with his hat and gear.

Easily one of gaming's most multifaceted and complex characters, you'll need to spend hours reading Morgan's journal to fully "get" his attitude towards the cowboy life and every violent act he's committed, but the payoff is unlike anything else.
