Red Dead Redemption: Every Villain Ranked From Worst To Best
7. Colm O'Driscoll (and The O'Driscoll Gang)
RDR2 has a number of recurring enemies, but the first threat the player gets familiar with is the O'Driscoll Gang, and their furiously cruel leader Colm O'Driscoll. Colm is framed as the opposite of Dutch; from his morals when out committing banditry to the way he treats his devoted gang members.
The two's history is fraught to say the least; once running together as outlaws, their partnership ended with Dutch killing Colm's brother and Colm retaliating by murdering Dutch's lover Annabelle. This is all setup, and happened before the events of RDR2, but it's to say the cruelty of the O'Driscoll's never ceased.
Members of the O'Driscoll boys murdered Sadie Adler's husband, and spent the best part of the game hassling and harassing poor townsfolk around New Hanover; occasionally springing from behind rocks to ambush Arthur when he's on his lonesome. The savagery of Colm and his gang knows no bounds; as they abduct Kieran Duffy and mutilate him in the cruellest way, and continue to pursue and fight the Van Der Linde Gang.
It makes the end of the O'Driscolls all the more satisfying and sweet when it's only the last few honourable heroes that take their fight to Colm.
Colm's ending comes at the hands of the hangman's noose when his escape is foiled by Arthur, Dutch and Sadie. And the remains of the O'Driscoll Gang meet a bloody end when Sadie avenges her husband, aided by Arthur as they rampage through Hanging Dog Ranch.
