Red Dead Redemption: Who Should Play Who In A Live Action Adaptation

11. Lenny Summers - Jovan Adepo

Red Dead Redemption 2 Jon Bernthal
Paramount Pictures

The Character: Players would have already found a great fondness for Lenny early on in RDR2 when he and Arthur jump on the Leviticus Cornwall train together and take it down almost single-handedly, but what sealed players' love for him was the infamous drinking "mission" in Valentine.

Arthur (and players) hadn't bonded better with any other character since, and there was a legit fondness for Lenny all the way through. He was well read, well-spoken, and an intelligent figure whose knowledge stumps even Hosea and Dutch at times.

It made his death during the Saint Denis robbery all the more saddening, and despite not being a cutscene, there's not a damn thing the player can do about it.

The Actor: God, there is so much good stuff on Jovan Adepo's resume. Between major roles in acclaimed shows like The Leftovers, Jack Ryan, Watchmen and When They See Us, he's sharing the spotlight with other major and accredited actors in films like Fences, Overlord and the series Sorry For Your Loss.

Adepo has a knack for playing endearing characters, and he'd slide in perfectly into the role of Lenny Summers.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
