Red Dead Redemption: Who Should Play Who In A Live Action Adaptation

8. Bill Williamson - Macon Blair

Red Dead Redemption 2 Jon Bernthal
Picturehouse Entertainment

The Character: One of the few members of the gang to make it out of Beaver Hollow alive and into the first Red Dead, Williamson went from wayward bandit holed up in Fort William to a pretty likeable and dependable enforcer for the Van Der Linde Gang.

Much like Javier, RDR2 did a great job of turning its villains into appreciative and three-dimensional characters, which makes it all the more tragic that he is a villain for John to hunt down later down the line.

His loyalty to Dutch might be because he's as dumb as a rock, but with the right steer he could have been an ally John and Arthur needed in their final moments.

The Actor: Macon Blair holds some physical attributes to Bill Williamson (the ability to grow a thick beard for one) but all that aside, Blair has gone from strength to strength since he went on a revenge rampage as the lead in Blue Ruin.

His ability to play someone both dangerous and sympathetic can make for an interesting take on Williamson.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
