She may have been used sparingly throughout the series, but Sienna Guillory's Jill Valentine is what we all come to the Resident Evil films to see. From her bullet-laden introduction as a disgraced cop in Apocalypse, right through to her redemption at the end of Retribution, Jill has everything to be Resident Evil's greatest character ever. What's more, Guillory clearly loved being part of the series and it comes across in her performance. Ahead of Retribution, Guillory told Collider:

"There is no greater motivator than knowing you're going to be squaring off against Milla Jovovich in a cat-suit months after giving birth to twins,"

What makes Jill the best character in the series is Guillory's versatility to play both the hero and the villain. We grew to love Jill as the cold cop in Apocalypse, only to have her cruelly snatched away and replaced by an Umbrella puppet. As the sadistic overlord of Alice's capture, Jill represented pure Orwellian torture and her evil streak shone through. Jill was equally good as both, although as the blue PVC bitch, she just about clinches it.

Choosing Alice over Jill as the main hero was probably the best choice, meaning that we were always waiting for Jill, and that her appearances were all the more special. Matching up to her game counterpart for pure vixen vitality, Jill Valentine is the ultimate badass of the Resident Evil films and you can bet that it would be a close call between who would win in a fight between her and Alice.
