Alright, five flavours of tofu, but the point was there.

Initially a model to represent the hit boxes (areas of collision/damage detection) on the player, Tofu became a legend in its own right as a second unlockable character in the 1998 original. Starting off as a white lump armed with knife and jaunty-angled beret, Tofu's colour changed as you took more damage, worsening to a dark red.

This time around, they've brought some friends and firepower. Finishing Tofu Survivor will unlock a bandana-sporting, Rambo-esque, flamethrower-wielding lump of curd. Subsequent playthroughs will unlock more, including a golden "skinned" one packing some serious heat.

What's more, in an effort to show off the proprietary engine, each iteration of the food item will start to degrade when damage is taken, and nobody wants to see a sad piece of tofu.
