Resident Evil 2: 15 Tips & Tricks The Game Doesn't Tell You
9. Prioritise Searching For Backpack Upgrades
Speaking of supplies, those little black pouches? They grant you an additional two squares of inventory every time you pick one up.
Tucked away inside safes and locker rooms, there's a massive benefit to prioritising exploration early on, as you can then ferry more items and ammunition from place to place. Sadly, for as many improvements have been made, you still can't pick something up and actively swap it with another item right there and then.
If your inventory is full you'll literally have to run to an item box or other place where an object can be used, to free up the slot. It's a tiny inconvenience that gets super annoying when "key item" is next to "key place to use", and yet you don't have space. Making a point of upgrading your backpack can hopefully let you avoid this.
