Resident Evil 3 Remake: One Detail NOBODY Is Talking About

The Importance Of Brad

As Raccoon City once again comes back to life, something canonically massive takes place. Outside the most dedicated Resident Evil fans though, nobody has spotted it.

We're talking about a detail that lies with none other than the other surviving S.T.A.R.S. member trying to skip town, Brad Vickers.

In the original 1999 release of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Brad Vickers played a very different role to that of the Remake, but he's still in the same situation: Helping Jill escape an ever-closing horde of the zombies infected with the T-Virus, whilst simultaneously and heroically sacrificing himself, albeit by accident. This coward was just out for himself, stumbling into the courtyard of the RPD where he finds Jill... and the Nemesis too.

As Jill is overcome with fear, Brad is quickly dispatched by the Nemesis and that is the end of that. A somewhat fitting end to a runaway that left his team behind in Resident Evil 1.

However, in the Remake, Brad actively tries to warn Jill she is being watched by Umbrella, and even alerts her to the Nemesis itself, just seconds before the Tyrant comes crashing through the wall. From there he doesn’t get to stick around for long as he now goes out like a hero, holding back a horde of zombies as Jill gets away.

She never sees him again, but later on, his importance only increases.
