Resident Evil 3 Remake: One Detail NOBODY Is Talking About

A Talking Zombie

Resident Evil Zombie Brad
Capcom

In this new remake timeline, Jill never makes it to the RPD courtyard, but Brad still does.

Playing as Carlos, you and fellow UCBS ally Tyrell come across Marvin Branagh standing on the doorsteps of the police department, aiming his weapon at the newly-turned Brad Vickers. Having succumbed to his wounds and somehow ending up at the RPD, he closes in on a very hesitant Marvin.

“C’mon man. Not you too!” Marvin cries, as Vickers closes in on the kill. Vickers lurches into Branagh’s sights, who solemnly says “Sorry” as he aims for the kill. Vickers... looks into Branagh’s eyes and repeats through choked vocal cords “So-rry”.

This is where everything changes.

Immediately after this moment, Marvin gets bitten, runs into the police station and his fate is sealed.

Brad, having resumed this blood rage, gets shot to pieces by Carlos, and though he does make one more jump-scare later, this is truly his end. But hold the Mr.Charlie head for a moment, because a zombified person infected with the T-Virus just uttered a word.

This hasn’t happened before in any mainline RE game. Once you are a zombie, you are gone.

In his last moments of humanity, Brad somehow managed to fight the T-Virus long enough to apologise to his colleague - no, his friend - before he cursed Marvin to the same fate.

Thankfully, we have been two other franchise examples that could explain what's going on.
