2. The Return Of Albert Wesker
One of the biggest rumours surrounding Resident Evil 7 is that it will feature the return of the series' main villain Albert Wesker. Wesker was thought to have died at the end of RE5 after succumbing to a pair of RPG rockets and a wave of lava, but you have to question whether the series can really afford to keep such an iconic character away forever? Fans will surely be rooting for Weskers return after a no-show in RE6 and with his son Jake around, you wouldnt bet against it. Even if the rumours that he's only there for a flashback sequence are true, the very fact that he will play a key role int he narrative has got to be taken as a positive. And given that Wesker has shown an uncanny ability to survive catastrophic situations before, coming back from a volcano wouldnt be out of the question. And it would be foolish to rule out something like cloning.
