Resident Evil 7: 10 Biggest Fan Demands Capcom Must Include

10. Less Characters

One thing that you can't deny is that from the very beginning of the franchise, Resident Evil was employing the concept of multiple characters. It's something that was used to great success in Resident Evil 2, as well; but these days, it feels more like an excuse to throw a bunch of random characters together rather than a meaningful feature. Consider the fact that Resident Evil 1 does more with two protagonists than Resident Evil 6 does with 4 playable characters, and it's hard to really understand Capcom's logic. For Resident Evil 7, it's time to take things back to that Resident Evil 2 level of clarity. The crisscrossing story of Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield was absolutely flawless, and it's something that Capcom has had a difficult time surpassing in subsequent entries. The stories between different characters never felt as natural and organic as it did in Resident Evil 2 or even the first game. Perhaps now is the time to take things squarely back to the basics of Resident Evil, put us together with two compelling characters and see what happens.
