3. Break Crates With Your Knife To Save Ammo

Any old-school Resi fan will take one look at a wooden box and instinctively smash it to pieces with whatever blunt instrument is to hand, but for all those using up ammo to break them apart in lieu of a dedicated melee button, know that there is another way.

Just equip your knife - easily done so in the inventory by assigning it to a dedicated direction on the D-pad - and have at any of the crates with yellow tape.

Doing so saves ammunition, and thanks to the knife never degrading, means you can hoover up those precious bullets for any other enemies in your way.
