It's a bit weird reminding people of basic bodily functions, but being Resident Evil 7 is something of a hybrid between being a 'dedicated VR game' and a standard first-person survival horror, there is one key feature omitted from the base game: Tilting your character's head.

Such a thing is key to survival, and if you're playing RE7 and switching between wearing the VR or just using the gamepad between sessions, don't forget you can tilt forward, around or above/below items and corners to get a much greater sense of what's ahead.

Use it to scout around corners or peek up from behind tables you're no doubt cowering behind, without revealing your position. You can even bring your gun up to blast from behind cover, just be sure to move before Jack gets too close, otherwise his grapple will pull you out of where you stand.

Again, a somewhat obvious point, but the amount of Let's Plays online that are seeing people play the VR version of the game as though they were routed the spot, means nowhere near enough people are aware of this extension of Ethan's base movements.
