3. City Environment (Return To Raccoon City)

If the Mansion from the original Resident Evil introduced the series, Raccoon City defined it. Even if it only truly appeared once, this iconic location made such an impact on horror games as we know them, it's often considered as one of the most memorable locations in the whole series.

The claustrophobic environments of Raccoon City and the genuine realism of a city environment can only work to enhance the horror that the first person perspective brings. Taking place in a city also allows for a larger variety of locations and situations, as well as bringing in the nostalgia from Resident Evil 2.

Even if it may be taking a bit too much from Resident Evil 2, a city environment would definitely be an interesting take on the new direction of the series.
