17. Piers Nivans
Piers Nivans was a BSAA soldier who worked under Chris Redfield. He made his big Resi debut in Resident Evil 6.
Being part of the most action-heavy section of the game, playing as Nivans involves gunning down a lot of infected. Aside from a small handful of high points (including a tense sequence involving hunting a giant invisible snake), playing as Piers is mediocre at best - for the most part, at least.
The game mercifully mixes things up towards the end of this campaign by giving Piers some mutation powers to play with. It drastically shakes up combat and, more importantly, gives him some powerful story moments to shine.
Chris might be the more familiar character out of the two, but Piers is the real hero of this section of Resi 6.
