Despite narrowly avoiding becoming a Jill sandwich in the first game, Jill Valentine has subsequently gone on to become one of the most adored characters within Resident Evil history.

In the first game, her slightly larger inventory and lockpicking ability made her a more suitable choice for newcomers to the series compared to Chris. Likewise, she's the only character who gets access to the grenade launcher.

However, it wasn't until Resident Evil 3: Nemesis where Jill really got to shine. She was as quick-witted as she was skilled, with her new dodge ability giving players a tactical advantage against the infected on the city streets.

Jill's later fights against bioterrorism would continue in Revelations and Resi 5, cementing her importance in the series lore.

And with players being reunited with the former S.T.A.R.S. operative in the recent Resident Evil 3 remake, new and old fans alike were reminded just how amazing Jill is.
