Mia Winters is the emotional McGuffin for protagonist Ethan to rescue in Resident Evil 7.
Nevertheless, she was given some of her own playable sections in the game. The first was a short but unforgettably tense game of hide and seek against Baker matriarch Marguerite that was playable through one of the collectable video tapes.
Later, irrespective if players chose to cure Mia or Zoe, players will once again take control of Mia as they wander through a deserted ship. It's a short-lived but eerie section that served as the game's exposition dump.
Finally, there was her action-heavy flashback sequence in which she battled through hordes of Molded as she tracked down an escaped Eveline.
These sections added plenty of variety to Resi 7's gameplay. It's only disappointing that Mia wasn't as interesting of a character as her gameplay.
