Resident Evil: Ranking Every Major Protagonist Worst To Best

13. Piers Nivans

Piers Nivans Re6
Capcom

Piers Nivans is such an afterthought that it's actually difficult to find an image of the character without Chris Redfield being the main focus. Redfield's BSAA teammate, who's seemingly only there because Capcom wanted all three main Resident Evil 6 campaigns to be playable in co-op, Piers is your run-of-the-mill military type, with barely a sliver of personality to call his own until the story's final missions.

Eventually Chris and Piers' companionship does come into play when the two are put in mortal danger, and Piers' eventual sacrifice is surprisingly affecting considering how little he adds to the narrative prior to that point.

Had the entire campaign featured moments where the two were working off each other like this then Piers might have avoided being dead last, but as it stands, it's going to take a massive misstep for Capcom to create a less compelling playable Resi character going forward.
