Resident Evil: Ranking Every Major Protagonist Worst To Best

12. Helena Harper

Between Helena and Piers, it's pretty evident that Resident Evil 6 had trouble coming up with new characters to bounce off core heroes. For what it's worth, Helena does fare better as a partner, and her dynamic with franchise staple Leon is far more fleshed out and intriguing on the whole. More of a naive, by-the-book agent compared to Leon's jaded zombie vet, there was at least some palpable chemistry between the two characters that was missing in Piers and Chris' relationship.

Her search for her missing sister, Deborah (and its tragic resolution), also adds an extra layer to the hero as well. Aside from her ideals, she genuinely has something to fight for, and a strong motivation for carrying on with Leon once that's taken away from her.

Of course, it helps that she had a better campaign to headline overall as well, rather than one that's 90% the most generic third-person shooter of the Xbox 360 generation and 10% actually any good.
