14. Doors

A feature of the earlier Resident Evil games, players tend to get quite aggravated by opening doors as it slows down game play and it takes a seeming eternity for the darn things to open when all you want to do is kick zombie butt. I am actually quite partial to doors because they a) afford you some time to get your wits together from the last onslaught and b) they give the game atmosphere. You think to yourself "What horrors lurk within?". Nemesis might make an appearance. There could be a heap of lickers or hunters or a giant murderous plant. The only time I don't like doors is when they combine them with heartbeats. I hate hearing heartbeats. Just an odd quirk of mine.
