9. Black Stone Cherry
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bq1CY8SE-u4 Ever since the release of their eponymous debut album back in 2006, Black Stone Cherry has become one of the cornerstones of modern rock, slowly gathering a dedicated following - especially in the UK where their rise from smaller venues to their most recent headlining arena tour has been particularly pronounced. A regular fixture at Download Festival, the band has amassed a collection of top quality tunes that mix their Southern Rock heritage with a healthy dose of Heavy Metal to absolutely exhilarating effect. Couple that with the fact that they have one of the best drummers in the business today behind the kit, which would ensure a decent level of challenge to go with the quality of the songs, and you have a no-brainer. Practically anything from their first two albums would make for an excellent mid-tier track, though Harmonix would have to be a little bit more selective from the band's last two offerings as their sound has started to lean a little too closely towards radio-friendly territory in recent years. Key Tracks - Maybe Someday, Devil's Queen, Soulcreek.
