3. Slow Balls
For as fast-paced as Rocket League is, there are quite a few times every single match where each player finds themselves huddled around a balls shadow in a stalemate waiting for it to slowly come down into jumping range. A mistake to make during these slow balls though is to just sit around idle without moving. What youll notice is that players will patiently wait until the ball comes down, which gives you the perfect opportunity to strike. If there are team-mates in position ready to make an effort as soon as the ball gets into range, what you want to do is make sure none of the other team even has a chance of getting to it. Even if you dont have enough boost to cause a demolition, just ramming into the opposing team to mess up their positioning will be more than enough to give your side that bit more of a chance to win the ball once it gets close enough.
