Saints Row IV: 10 Reasons It's Awesome

4. Keith David

Saints Row IV h Keith David is not only a hugely successful character actor in movies, but velvety, distinctive voice has also landed him countless voiceover gigs on video games such as Halo, Mass Effect and, yes, the Saints Row series. Though he has appeared in the first two games as Julius, David is now playing a rather obtuse spin on himself, hilariously "introduced" in the game's opening sequence. In line with the game's overall meta, self-aware tone, David plays an award-winning version of himself, who has since become the Vice President to the protagonist's President in this time of need. Why Keith David? Aside from slotting perfectly into the game's kitschy tone, why not? The game fires off in just about every other direction just for its own sake, so why not this one? Besides, seeing Keith David firing an awesome gun? Always going to be cool.
