8. Only One Main Weapon
Onto the really divisive stuff.
No longer can you swap around an assortment of spears, daggers, great swords or whatever else. Protagonist Sekiro mains a katana, but his variety in approach comes from a Prosthetic Arm, which can be equipped with everything from flamethrowers to shurikens, axes to fire-imbued punches.
The prosthesis' rotating slew of moves takes the place of your "heavy attack", but usage is also governed by a small "white cross" currency that refills when you kill enemies. Need an axe to break a shield? You'd better hope you've saved up enough crosses, or dart off to find someone else to murder first.
Different accessories take up different amounts of the currency, too. An axe is 1, for example, whereas the flame punch is 4.
It means you're constantly burning through your allowance of heavy attacks - something that could be done carte blanche in past titles, albeit dependent on your stamina. Speaking of which...
