Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice - 7 New Gameplay Details You Need To Know
2. Souls-Like Bosses (But No Summoning)
Although Sekiro is obviously a very different beast from the Souls games, fans of those franchises will be relieved to hear that FromSoftware's latest will retain the intense boss battles they're known for.
While talking about how these staple enemies will work in the new project, the developers made it clear that they'll be largely unchanged from the fights seen in the likes of Dark Souls, with accommodations of course being made for the increased pace and new moveset.
However, while the difficulty and intensity of these battles will remain intact, fans won't be able to rely on the one mechanic which no doubt helped them take on tougher gauntlets like Ornstein and Smough: summoning. There'll be no way to tag in a human helper to join you during boss battles in Sekiro, meaning it's entirely up to you to take down these big bastards yourself.
