Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice - 7 New Gameplay Details You Need To Know
3. Shinobi Tools Are The Game's MVP
Though the combat and weapons included in Sekiro will be familiar to fans of any FromSoftware release, the Shinobi tools - which connect to the weird prosthetic arm featured in the very first teaser trailer - transform core gameplay in a substantial way.
Fans have already seen this shown off with the grappling hook, which allows players to zip around the map to pre-determined points, but other tools will offer a variety of different offensive and defensive possibilities - including the ability to transform your arm into a flamethrower.
The developers have now expanded upon how this mechanic will actually work, with these abilities being tied to the right trigger and cycled through on the fly with a face button. Moreover, you'll have to collect white orbs from enemies to keep the arm charged, encouraging a flow between regular attacks and these spectacular moves in combat.
