Silent Hills: 10 Big Rumours You Need To Know

2. The Town Might Be Breaking Into Our World Via The Game's Developers

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsr2QBDIpwc This next theory ties in nicely with the one about the main character being a gamer. While that much is clear in P.T., we still don€™t know how meta Kojima is planning to be in Silent Hills. However, DreamcastGuy has another interesting theory in which not only will Silent Hills be in the real world, but it will also be about the game's developers - not just gamers. DreamcastGuy thinks that Silent Hill only exists by possessing the game€™s developers: Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro. Both artists are known for exploring alternate universes, and Kojima has a track record of putting himself in his own games, referring to himself as God in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and as a hostage in Ground Zeroes. Interestingly enough, DreamcastGuy also believes that Silent Hills will acknowledge the fact that the series has declined since Silent Hill 4: The Room. He even refers to fetus€™s criticism regarding how unoriginal his father, a gamer, was when he murdered the family; if you reread the lines except replacing the father with the series€™ developers, it€™s easy to see why the fetus is unimpressed. By bringing his new toys, the fetus, as well as the game€™s developers, hopes to inject a fresh dose of fear into the declining franchise. It€™s also worth mentioning that the name of the fictional studio Kojima created, 7780 studios, is based off the square meter of a prefecture called Shizuoka, which when translated sounds similar to Silent Hill. While it€™s most likely a joke, it could also give DreamcastGuy's theory a bit more credence.
