Skyrim: 10 Best Ways To Play Without Mods

4. Play What You Find

A more interesting run that can be very challenging and is purely down to luck. Play what you find is exactly what it says. You play with what you find. Should you open a chest and find a sword, you use the sword. Should you then receive an axe from a quest, you must use that axe. And worst of all, you must drop every old item once you get a new one to replace it.

You keep swapping out everything that you find from armour to rings meaning that one moment you could have a Daedric greatsword and the next a wooden sword. One minute you could have an entire set of unique Daedric artefacts equipped and the next you could be forced into legion armour for the civil war questline.

It can be quite challenging to make sure you have the right gear to take on a boss and it makes every lootable container into a gamble. Do you risk your high levelled gear in favour for the chance of something better or continue on? There can be a certain degree of tactical questing to be had as well if you can juggle what rewards you get for doing specific quests, creating a versatile experience.

I like video games, writing and writing about video games. Expect sarcasm and the dry wit of a Brit. And the occasional rant of a unhappy Scot. You know... the usual.
