Skyrim: 10 Glaring Problems Everyone Always Overlooks
7. Dragons Are... Disappointing
Everyone remembers the first trailer Bethesda released for Skyrim. The dragon swooping down over the landscape before battling the Dragonborn was the stuff of gaming legend. It painted dragons as these immense beings ,and gave their appearance a fearsome weight that everyone expected to be a big point in the game.
But after the first fight at the Western Watchtower, the winged beasts lose their flair. They become just a regular enemy with no special features to really distinguish them. Yes, they fly and breathe fire, but they amount to glorified damage sponges like the majority of the high-level enemies in the game.
The first few encounters had atmosphere and brilliant spectacle, but they were so common and ultimately so easy, that dragons became a fast travel-blocking nuisance, rather than a fearsome foe.
Instead of fleeing in terror, you ended up fleeing just so you didn't have to bother with them anymore.
