Skyrim: 10 Glaring Problems Everyone Always Overlooks

8. Reusing The Same Puzzles In Every Dungeon

Skyrim is at heart an adventure game, and by no means proficient at delivering puzzles.

However, the ones we got in Skyrim are so downright pitiful that they earn a mention of their own.

Found in the majority of dungeons, these 'puzzles' are a variant on the well-known claw puzzle. I.e, find the solution either on a claw item, or it's hidden (in plain view) in the room you are already in.

Nearly every single puzzle was a variant on this trope with a small twist. Granted, forcing the player to use Whirlwind Sprint to get through one of the doors was a unique moment, and could have added depth to a lot of the puzzle mechanics overall, but it was thrown by the wayside for the problematic and easily identikit formulae instead.

I like video games, writing and writing about video games. Expect sarcasm and the dry wit of a Brit. And the occasional rant of a unhappy Scot. You know... the usual.
