Skyrim: 10 Most Useful Shouts and Where to Learn Them

Ice Form

€œYour Thu'um freezes an opponent solid.€ Words: IISS (Ice), SLEN (Flesh), NUS (Statue) When you activate Ice Form, you unleash a powerful bolt of cold from your mouth that freezes your target solid as a lurid ice statue that€™s usually somewhere at the top arc of a nasty swing at you. Almost any target can be frozen, although the likes of giants and dragons will freeze for only 20 seconds at the words' full strength, whereas your run-of-the-mill Stormcloak/Imperial will be stuck for the full 30. Uses: It might be hard to resist rolling up into the middle of a chamber full of draugr and blasting the first fool who€™s brave enough to step to you with a face full of ice without a second thought. Don€™t though; Ice Form is more useful when dealing with a single powerful foe. So deal with the little guys first, or as many as you can at least. Ice Form will help you do one of two things: 1. You€™ll be able to immobilise your most powerful foe while you mop up his subordinates or 2. You€™ll be able to immobilise a powerful single foe before hacking him to smithereens while he struggles to get up. Where to Learn: IISS: Frostmere Crypt SLEN: Saarthal NUS: Mount Anthor
