10. Gameplay - SkyUI

It's no secret that Skyrim has been made to better benefit console gamers, hence the simplified user interface and ease of access. Again, great for consoles but very clumsy for PC users.

SkyUI creates a brand new menu system for the game, offering a much more user-friendly interface for mouse and keyboard as opposed to the overly simplistic UI of the vanilla game. This menu makes all of your in-game items and spells easier to sort, includes handy icons to show what goes where, and is far more aesthetically pleasing, particularly with the amount of space saved on screen.

Also included with the download is the Mod Configuration Menu (or MCM), an almost essential tool when it comes to modding on PC, used for any mod that affects the UI or gameplay as a whole, including load order and basic statistics for a good number of mods, like the previously mentioned Dance of Death.

Skyrim will always be popular on the PC, and SkyUI will remain one of the most popular and important mods on the system.

Runners Up:

Locational Damage - Gain advantage in battle by attacking your opponent's weak points, like disarming them when attacking the arms, or instant death with a headshot.

Equipping Overhaul - Your favourited weapons appear equipped, and makes swapping and dropping weapons on the fly much more realistic.

Deadly Combat - Makes the combat faster and more realistic, improving the intelligence of enemies and providing a much tougher challenge
