As one of Skyrim's creepiest areas, Witchmist Grove isn't necessarily something you'd expect to find yourself rushing back to in the remastered version. It's a haunting spot, though, improved upon immensely by the Special Edition's ability to raise the quality of minor details.

In the original version of the game, the makeshift fence and sacrificial remains looked menacing enough, but the added layer of texture and polish brings them to a level almost reminiscent of that in The Witcher 3.

Obviously Bethesda's remaster can't really match the powers of CD Projekt Red's immense title, but it's genuinely pleasing to see how much can be done when an existing area is revisited.
