Skyrim: Special Edition - 10 Best-Looking Locations You Must Visit

7. Shor's Stone

Skyrim Shor S Stone
Bethesda

If the region at large is predominantly a winter's world, areas like Shor's Stone are enjoyable reminders of what the year has left behind. This cute village is bordered by trees that have been yellowed by the turning of seasons, and grass that's become brown as it approaches the end of its life.

Admittedly this isn't exactly a revolutionary render for a developer to cope with, but it's the contrast against the rest of the region that makes something like this so appealing. Shor's Stone would probably look ordinary in a different setting, but in Skyrim it stands out.

The well-dressed trees look better here where the game can handle their "attire" with greater detail and command. If you're sick of trudging through acres of snow, this village will present welcome respite.
