SNES Classic Mini: 20 Video Games It Must Have

18. FIFA International Soccer

How many sports games do you include without alienating fans of other popular sports? FIFA 96 was perhaps the best in the series during the 16-bit era, but this one started it all.

Played from an isometric viewpoint rather than a more traditional birds-eye view, FIFA International Soccer allowed for flying headers, dodgy tackles and had an excellent picture-in-picture mode for corner taking, so you could focus totally on the goalmouth.

Gameplay was fluid and smooth, and multiplayer allowed for countless hours spent settling international rivalries. This is a must to balance out American and popular European sports on the inevitable SNES Mini.

Bryan Langley’s first console was the Super Nintendo and he hasn’t stopped using his opposable thumbs since. He is based in Bristol, UK and is still searchin' for them glory days he never had.
