Sony Gamescom Conference 2013: 5 Awesome Things We Learned

4. Vita Still Matters

psvita relaunch Vita has plenty of first party support coming our way. Murasaki Baby looks to be a unique and harrowing journey into the weird world of wonder. BigFest looks to be an interesting tightrope between the real world and the games world, where you take on unsigned bands and try to make them stars. They're pretty cool concepts even before you mention Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number and a whole host of other third party games. It was important to Sony at Gamescom to highlight a lot of third party support for Vita, most notably Borderlands 2. Yeah, thats right Borderlands 2. Playstation highlighted the importance of the indie sector, because loads of indie games are coming to Vita, including Fez. As of tomorrow the price of Vita will be $199 and the prices of memory cards will go down significantly. That's great news and will give Vita a chance against the (well deserved) tyranny of the 3DS. The PS Vita is far from dead yet and it looks like it might be time to get onboard.
