Considering his recent inclusion in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Ryu is definitely open to make guest appearances in other games.

One of the best aspects of including already established characters like Ryu within Soul Calibur ,is seeing how Project Soul add variety to his moves. Everyone knows the Hadouken and the Shoryuken, but how they are used in Soul Calibur could be very different.

Soul Calibur focuses much more on close combat, and getting to see Ryu removed from his iconic energy moves would really show his fighting capabilities. Ryu could even use a sword made from his own energy, as SC focuses heavily on this feature.

If Smash Brothers get to borrow Ryu, there's no reason Soul Calibur 6 can't as well.
