South Park: 7 Reasons Fractured But Whole Is Worse Than Stick Of Truth

4. There's Way Too Much Repetition And Fart Jokes

A massive problem with The Fractured But Whole is how repetitive it is.

Every time you gain a new class of powers, you are forced to visit Eric and relive your “horrific” superhero origin of witnessing your dad bang your mum. It’s amusing the first time, tired the second, boring the third and annoying the fourth.

In addition, there’s the repetitive nature of Morgan Freeman and fart jokes. Yes, The Stick Of Truth had flatulent humour, but it was nowhere near as prevalent, nor did it rely on these alone to make you laugh. When teaching you the Squeaky Sneaker, Randy farted and suddenly kicked you in the face, resulting in you howling with laughter because of the absurdity and suddenness.

No longer are your majestic farts an innocent parody of Dragon Shouts from Skyrim - they are a superhuman power which allows you to rewind, stop and travel in time. This removes the charming and imaginative element of the children role-playing, and it results in the comedy being shallow and boring.

The game’s flatulent marketing was certainly not funny, and the only good fart joke out of its 20-hours is Scott Malkinson getting Diabetes because of his pregnant mum passing wind.
