Is Miles Morales just Peter Parker in a different costume? Thankfully, that's not the case, because as Push Square explains, the young hero's powers ensure playing as him feels like a new experience.

The site highlights Miles' Venom powers, and it's said that "You need to use these against certain enemies to break through their defences, and as you progress, you’ll need to vary up your attack types in order to overcome different obstacles." Interestingly, the site's review describes the game's control scheme as "overwhelming," but ultimately "satisfying" once you get used to it.

Some gamers will also pleased to learn that Miles Morales has fewer gadgets at his disposal, meaning combat is more aggressive. The fact the wall-crawler can turn invisible also means that stealth is vastly improved this time around.

"This means that you can temporarily turn invisible, and toying with enemies who have no idea where you’re going to approach from is a lot of fun," they add. "There are some issues with the AI getting stuck in geometry that we encountered on occasion, but nothing too distracting."
