Spider-Man: Miles Morales - 10 Things It MUST Include
10. Snow That's Not Just For Show
Okay, so, having a Spider-Man game that's set in winter is truly some top-tier stuff. Not only are all the best blockbuster superhero stories set during the winter (Batman Returns, Iron Man 3... Spider-Verse), but Spidey swinging through New York at winter-time is a fairly iconic image, whether it was Peter initially in the comics - wrapped in leg-warmers, beanies and scarves - or Miles in 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
In short, it's great to see Insomniac taking New York City and doing something different with it compared to most other titles. The Big Apple is a character in itself, and to get to see it in a new light is a pretty exciting thought.
One other thing that would be pretty cool, though, would be if the weather actually has some sort of influence on the gameplay itself. Maybe Miles finds it harder to swing through a blizzard, or maybe he finds it more difficult to traverse snow-covered rooftops that haven't yet melted.
It would be a neat, albeit unnecessary detail, and would really help bring the game's winter setting to life even more.
