Spider-Man: Miles Morales - 10 Things It MUST Include
8. New, Original Costume Designs
While Peter Parker's super-threads have been chopped and changed in all sorts of ways since Steve Ditko first came up with the design - allowing Insomniac to deliver their own, wonderful take on the outfit in 2018's game - Miles Morales' wardrobe has remained almost static by comparison.
Now, that's not necessarily a bad thing. Miles' black and red outfit was designed by artist Sara Pichelli and it is near impossible to improve upon. The colour scheme, the placement of the webs and the symbol - all of it works so well together and it's great to see it recreated so faithfully in-game, as it's a testament to how great a design it is.
That being said, Miles hasn't really had too many wardrobe changes since his introduction in 2011. Given alternate costumes were such a beloved aspect of the previous title - and indeed the many other Spider-Man games that came before it - Insomniac may have to get a little creative with the outfits they do put in the game.
Given how great the Advanced Suit redesign was, it'd be pretty exciting to see what more the designers at the studio could come up with. Miles deserves to have as cool a wardrobe as Pete, and while there are alternate outfits to draw from - including stuff from Spider-Verse and the comics - this is a great opportunity for Insomniac to flex their creative muscles.
