Spider-Man: Miles Morales PS5 Review - 6 Ups & 4 Downs
3. Performance OR Resolution - Even On PS5
"Performance or resolution?"
The question so many games asked across the last few years - even on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X - leaving us to think "Come the turn of the generation, all this goes away! In the future we can have both, surely??"
Well... nope.
All the new-age, next-gen graphical features that make Spider-Man: Miles Morales pop - the ray tracing, enhanced lighting, all-new VFX - are only available on the "Fidelity" setting, which locks the system to 30fps.
If you want to play in 60 - which feels much better when swinging and fighting - you need to put "Performance" mode on, but this loses everything I just described.
Likely more of an issue because there's a PS4 version too and we're literally at the start of a new generation, but I couldn't help but be a bit disappointed by still having to choose between the two.
