5. Slyde

Perhaps one of the, let's say, less imaginative supervillains in Spider-Man's history, it would be unfair to suggest that Slyde has no capability to add value to this adventure. Like Screwball, his abilities make him quick and evasive, tying nicely into the open world web slinging element of the gameplay.

His slick suit adds an extra element, however, as it allows him to negate the effect of one of Spidey's greatest strengths: his webs. It's been possible to beat chase sequences in previous Spider-Man games almost before they've begun thanks to well-timed webs. Since Slyde can't be caught by these webs in the way that your average crook can, players would have to get creative.

Persistence and patience would have to be key to tackling Slyde. Having to use Pete's speed and strength to get close enough for a proper catch would be different; a great combination of excitement and infuriation!
